We've updated our Rolling Action Plan (RAP) to include an evaluation on the introduction and use of 522 per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under section 74 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019 (IC Act).
The information in assessment statements include chemical identity details, the scope of the assessment, hazard information and a summary of the risk to human health and the environment from the introduction and use of that chemical.

Record-keeping provisions for introducers that transitioned from NICNAS to AICIS will continue to be available until 1 April 2024. These arrangements only apply to eligible introducers who are still importing or manufacturing chemicals that were previously on the NICNAS Inventory.
From 21 July 2023, Australian importers and exporters of these chemicals must receive annual authorisation from AICIS. Applications can be submitted now.
