The Executive Director of AICIS cancelled assessment certificate (CERT9258) for Benzene, 1,1'-(1,2-ethanediyl)bis[2,3,4,5,6-pentabromo- (also known as decabromodiphenylethane or DBDPE) under section 52 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019 on 28 June 2022.

Regulatory changes are starting on 10 December 2021 following amendments to the General and Transitional Rules. Some changes have already occurred and started on 23 November 2021.
