Registration

Antibacterial skin care products are determined to be either therapeutic goods or cosmetics, based on their composition, proposed use and the way they’re marketed.

You’ll need to register your business with us if your imported goods contain industrial chemicals and any tariff classifications in our table apply to the goods you’re importing.

If you’re planning to sell soaps that you make or import, you may need to register your business with us and check that your ingredients are on our Inventory.

If there is a change to the total quantity of industrial chemicals that you imported or manufactured in a registration year, you may request a change to your registration level.

If you are continuing to import or manufacture industrial chemicals, you must renew your registration by 31 August each year.
