Reported introduction

A reported introduction means the chemical importation or manufacture meets the criteria for 'low risk' to human health and/or the environment. To work out if your introduction meets the criteria for the 'reported' category, use our Guide to categorising your chemical importation and manufacture.

Legal definition: the meaning given by subsection 27(2) of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019.

More information

If your introduction meets the criteria for the reported category and you're already registered with us, you must submit a once-off pre-introduction report before you start introducing the chemical. You must keep records and submit an annual declaration at the end of each registration year. There's no fee to submit a pre-introduction report.
