Decision tool – Work out if your introduction cannot be exempted or reported

This decision tool is related to step 1 of the process to categorise your chemical introduction.

What you need to know

Information about the following for your chemical:

  • is it listed on the Rotterdam or Stockholm conventions
  • is it listed on the Inventory with conditions for either introduction volume or where the chemical can be introduced and used

Question 1

Is your chemical listed on the Rotterdam or Stockholm conventions?

Your introduction is in the assessed category.

Question 2

Is your chemical listed on the Inventory with a condition of use on:

  • the introduction volume

    or

  • where it can be introduced and used?

Note: If your introduction is outside any defined scope of assessment, choose 'No'.

Go to Decision tool – Work out if your introduction is automatically categorised as exempted.

Question 3

Will your chemical introduction comply with the conditions of use?

Your introduction is in the listed category.

You need to apply to vary the terms of the Inventory listing.
