Definition

Means an industrial chemical that includes a sequence of carbon atoms bonded directly to one another, where that sequence:

  • has a length of greater than or equal to 4, but no more than 20, carbon atoms, and
  • has all carbon atoms in this sequence fully fluorinated 

Fully fluorinated means that fluorine atoms are attached to all remaining bonding sites from each carbon atom along the sequence.
