Chemicals added to the Inventory following issue of assessment certificate (early listing) - 4 April 2024

The following industrial chemicals have been added to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals in under section 83 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019.

  • as meeting all criteria for a polymer of low concern (PLC) as per Schedule 2 of the Industrial Chemicals (General) Rules 2019, except for the criterion of being a stable polymer (within the meaning given by the Guidelines) 
  • for use in crude oil refining

  • as imported in finished products for sale in continuous action air fresheners at up to 0.7% concentration, in fine fragrances at up to 0.5% concentration, in instant action air fresheners at up to 0.2% concentration, in other cosmetic products at up to 0.05% concentration and in other household products at up to 0.03% concentration
