Variation of Inventory terms of listing - 8 October 2026

The Executive Director varied the terms of the Inventory listing under section 85 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019 to clarify the wording of the defined scope of assessment for the following chemical. These changes do not affect the introduction of the chemical.

  • for end-use in personal care products (cosmetics) excluding lipsticks and oral care products, laundry and dishwashing products, cleaning and furniture care products, and air care products
  • for end use at a concentration of
    • up to 0.1% in cosmetics if used by children below 10 years of age
    • up to 2% in leave-on cosmetics and fine fragrances when not used by children below 10 years of age
    • less than 3% in rinse-off cosmetics when not used by children below 10 years of age
    • up to 0.4% in deodorants
    • up to 3% in laundry and dishwashing products, cleaning and furniture care products, and air care products
