REACH Regulation

means Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.

More information

REACH is the European Union's chemicals regulation framework and does not apply in Australia.

However, for businesses working out if their introduction meets the criterion on whether a trusted overseas body performed an assessment on their chemical, AICIS accepts opinions from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Committee for Risk Assessment and the ECHA Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis. We’ll accept these opinions as long as they’ve formed the basis for the European Commission's decision to include or update a restriction in Annex XVII of the REACH regulation (REACH restrictions). We do not accept REACH registration dossiers.
