Variation of Inventory listing following approval of an application - 19 August 2026

The AICIS Executive Director varied the terms of the Inventory listing for the following chemical on the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (Inventory). This was done in accordance with section 93 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019.

Defined scope of assessment as varied

The chemical has been assessed:

  • as a polymer with a number average molecular weight greater than or equal to 1,000 g/mol, having low molecular weight species less than 1,000 g/mol below 5%, and functional group equivalent weight (FGEW) of amines greater than 1,000 g/mol;
  • as imported into Australia at up to 200 tonnes per year;
  • for use by workers and for consumer end use.
Reason the listing variedThe chemical has been previously assessed (CA09540) and is on the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals. The introducer applied to allow the end use to be extended to consumer end use. The Executive Director approved the application.
