Chemical added to the Inventory following issue of assessment certificate - 8 September 2026

The following industrial chemical has been added to the Australian Inventory of Industrial Chemicals (Inventory). This was done in accordance with section 83 of the Industrial Chemicals Act 2019.

Defined Scope of Assessment

The chemical has been assessed:

  • as imported into Australia at up to 100 tonnes/year
  • as imported at up to 20% concentration as a component of lubricant additive formulations for reformulation into finished lubricant products
  • as imported or reformulated at up to 4% concentration for end use in lubricant and grease products, including engine and machinery oils
  • for use by industrial workers and do-it-yourself (DIY) users
